Fighting Corruption: A Priority for Every State
Corruption undermines the foundations of society, weakens state institutions, reduces management efficiency, and hinders economic growth. Fighting corruption is not just a national task, but an international priority governed by several programs and initiatives. One of the key documents in this area is the UN Convention against Corruption (UNCAC), adopted in 2003, which requires member states to implement a comprehensive range of measures: from preventing corruption to returning illegally acquired assets and promoting international cooperation.
