TRAPS FOR CYBER-ORGANIZED CRIME: THE DIGITAL FRONT

Press Service of the Specialized International Detective and Legal Service "Eurasia-Pol" named after General V.N. Mamaev, Interstate Agency for Special Investigations and Anti-Corruption Reports:

The attacks on the website of the journal "World Community", presumably connected to the publication of materials regarding the activities of the citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nurzhan Ashikhanov, have been ongoing for more than two months.

In the past two weeks alone, over 120,000 cyberattacks have been recorded, each carefully organized and aimed at embedding malicious code into the website’s mechanisms.

As a result of this active phase of the cyber battle, we have uncovered 10 IP addresses used by the attackers and identified complex algorithms designed to damage our system. 

In total, more than 180 IP addresses, from which malicious actions were carried out, have been blocked as a result of the attack.

All collected evidence was immediately forwarded to the relevant authorities for further investigation and appropriate action.

Today, thanks to the deployment of special traps, we managed to uncover and block a new database of additional IP addresses involved in the attacks. These addresses were successfully neutralized, significantly reducing the pressure on our systems.

We would like to emphasize that cybersecurity is not merely a matter of information protection; it is a modern-day challenge in the context of widespread digitalization.

Today, it directly impacts national security, economic stability, and trust in digital systems.

Our cybersecurity department has demonstrated the highest level of professionalism and readiness to protect digital space from increasingly sophisticated and dangerous threats. Without such efforts, any attempts at digital transformation would be at risk.

We express our gratitude to the team for their prompt and professional work, which has preserved the integrity of our systems under unprecedented cyber pressure.
