Case of OPG 'Ogre': Trial against Yeldos Kospaev and his accomplices Based on the materials from Orda.kz,

The trial of the organized crime group (OCG) led by Eldos Kospaev continues to develop. This trial has rightfully become a significant milestone for the law enforcement agencies of Kazakhstan, attracting attention not only at the national level but also internationally.
The case of the OCG, known in criminal circles as the "Cannibal," involves a series of serious crimes, including raiding, theft, the creation of a criminal organization, and document forgery.

The main court hearing began on September 24, 2024, and due to the high level of significance, the proceedings are held in closed session. This is due to accusations related to crimes against sexual integrity. During the court hearings, the prosecutors announced a new indictment, in which the charges against the defendants were requalified from fraud to raiding, significantly strengthening the case and increasing the legal responsibility of all participants in the criminal activity.

Prosecutors have requested 15 years of imprisonment for Eldos Kospaev and 12 years for ten other individuals. The organized crime group is accused of committing a number of serious crimes, including raiding, theft, the creation of a criminal organization, document forgery, and other criminal activities. As a result of the investigation, assets illegally obtained by criminal means were seized, including 133 real estate properties, 11 land plots, 35 luxury cars, and nine million dollars in cash.

From open sources, the following individuals are known to be involved in the case:

Eldos Kospaev
Aidos Kospaev
Timur Tanashev
Alexey Kuznetsov
Kamardin Alymov
Dastan Abizhanov
Aybek Kospaev
Oksana Kudryashova
Erlan Imashev
Ruslan Shalin
Babaev Rauan

The actions of the OCG caused significant damage, including in the elite Esentai City complex in Almaty, where the damage exceeded 20 billion tenge. This clearly highlights the scale of the criminal activity and the violation of the legal rights and interests of citizens.

We hope that the trial of the Kospaev OCG will become an important example of the fight against organized crime and criminal practices in the economic sector. It is important to note that this process has not only criminal but also social significance, as it is aimed at restoring justice for the affected entrepreneurs.

We hope that the victims of the OCG’s actions will be able to return their businesses, compensate for their losses, and restore their companies. This will contribute to the restoration of citizens’ trust in the legal system of Kazakhstan under the framework of the Head of State Kasyim-Zhomart Tokayev's "Fair Kazakhstan" program.

The international community is closely following the developments of this situation, and this case has already become an important milestone in the fight against crime and organized criminal groups, with far-reaching consequences for law and order in Kazakhstan and on the international stage.

We are confident that the successful conclusion of this case will serve as a clear example of how government structures can effectively combat crime and protect the legitimate interests of citizens and businesses.
